Born in Lebanon in September 1962, engineer Christian Comair has amassed a wealth of experience in the construction and supervision of large-scale public works projects, including resorts, palaces, water supply, wastewater treatment plants and other vital infrastructure. An expert in environmental engineering, he also served as a professor at the Université Saint-Joseph – Ecole supérieure d’ingénieurs de Beyrouth.
Kristian Comair is the indirect owner of the Qatar-based GET Contracting Company, an organisation that provides a full spectrum of innovative design and construction services – including everything from infrastructure and facility management to landscaping and marine works. GET Contracting Company has spearheaded numerous turnkey projects, creating hotels, resorts, palaces, castles and villa complexes, as well as overseeing the restoration of important municipal buildings. GET Contracting Company has also led marine and mega construction projects, having earned a strong reputation for providing the highest standards of design and construction. A Lebanese-Canadian citizen, Christian Comair has held positions at numerous prestigious companies, working on groundbreaking projects to create landmark buildings and vital infrastructure. From 1994 to 2000, he worked for the Lebanese company ENB Ltd Consulting Engineers as a project manager, overseeing the National Emergency Recovery Program and the rehabilitation of water supply and waste water facilities in North and Mount Lebanon. In addition to drilling and rehabilitating 40 boreholes and constructing and rehabilitating 40 water treatment plants and stations, the project also saw the rehabilitation of two wastewater pumping stations and 190 reservoirs and water towers, as well as the construction of circa 100 kilometres of sewer lines. |
